Tonight, we said farewell to our beloved Thaddaeus Stanford, whom we've had the pleasure of working with at MindEscape for the past couple of months. He'll be taking on an incredible opportunity in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as a Cadet in a flight school for American Airlines! As much as we wish him the best, we can't help but be sad that we're losing this important family member to MindEscape.
Thad, as we affectionately call him, has been the lovable, goofy heart at the center of our operations. We love his eccentric catchphrases, his numerous cousin stories across Philly, and his love for Lorenzo's Pizza right here on South St. So we figured the best way to celebrate him was to do what we do best! We went out to an awesome room at Olde City Escape Games; their "A Quest For Freedom" adventure. We highly recommend it if you also love the difficulty and immersion we offer here at MindEscape! After that, we went over to National Mechanics to enjoy some hearty food and drink, not even realizing it was their Karaoke Night! Cam sang a soulful rendition of Chris Brown's "Yo", Alexis wowed with her rappign on Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)" and Olivia and Jian tried their hand at singing Beyonce's "Countdown". Some things are better sung by The Queen herself, you know. But the cutest moment of the night came when our bosses Vee and Alex sung their wedding song together, a surprising and joyful "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen.
In the end it was Dill that had the moment of the night, when he stumbled back to headquarters after and penned a heartfelt tribute to Thad and the family that we've build here. We will surely miss Thaddaeus so much, and can never thank him enough for the memories he's blessed us with. Good luck in Florida!
